TSA is Easing Up on Carry-On Liquid Restrictions
Good news for those who prefer carry-on baggage over checked bags: The Transporation Security Administration (TSA) is gradually implementing advanced computed tomography (CT) scanners at select airports (including Atlanta (ATL), New York JFK (JFK) and Los Angeles (LAX)) to analyze contents of larger containers potentially allowing for future relaxation of liquid restrictions. This means you may soon be able to bring your full-size hair products in a carry-on bag. However, as of now, the current 3-1-1 Rule remains in effect.
