BREAKING NEWS: Henkel Acquires Shiseido-Owned Joico, Zotos

Henkel has agreed to buy Zotos International, the North American hair professional business of Shiseido Company. The acquisition includes hair pro brands including Joico and Zotos Professional.   The agreement comes on the heels of Henkel’s purchase of Nattura Laboratorios, the owner of PRAVANA. Henkel has acquired Sexy Hair, Alterna and Kenra Professional in recent years. Henkel also owns Schwarzkopf Professional.   “This acquisition is part of our strategy to expand our position in attractive markets and categories,” said Henkel CEO Hans Van Bylen. “It will further strengthen our hair professional business in the U.S., the world’s single biggest hair professional market.
