Instagram Waves—How To Create The Lived-In Look You’re Seeing Everywhere

Get the look:
1. Once the cut is complete, curl the hair in alternating directions using the 1 ¼-inch Black Gold™ Hot Tools Professional Marcel Iron. (This keep the waves from falling into one another/adds more movement within the cut.)
Pro Tip: Curl smaller sections for more movement/texture and bigger sections for looser end results.
2. Once the curling is complete, tip your client’s head forward and spray all over with texture spray—this creates that serious lived-in look!
3. And for the Instagram-worthy photo? Chris brings his clients outside into the natural sunlight, then takes his pics on a pop-up white backdrop (he got it off Amazon!).
