STEPS
Prep damp hair with CHI Volume Booster at the roots and CHI Silk Infusion throughout the ends.
“I gave her hair a sleek blow dry using the CHI Rocket hairdryer and a large CHI ceramic round brush,” explained Wiseman.
Inside Scoop: Wise created some length by clipping in some extensions since Hayden’s hair is not quite to her shoulders.
In a classic roller-set fashion, Wiseman created barrel curls with a curling iron- starting at the nape of the neck, moving upward in 1 1/2 inch sections, pinning in as she went. “I curled the extensions with the natural hair so it all blends together,” explained Wiseman. “When I reached the top front section, I created a side part, and created the top front wave by angling the curling iron in a side wave direction, and directing the roots upward.”
Remember: Curl the sides downward!
Unclip the curls and brush thoroughly with a natural bristle Mason Pearson brush. Next, form the waves by molding the hair with hands. Sweep the hair around to one side and pin with bobby pins (make an "x") at the nape to keep it there. Mold the curls once again with your hands and the Mason Pearson brush.
Spray with one layer of strong hairspray.
