STEPS

Before

Apply Moroccanoil® All In One Leave-In Conditioner as a cutting lotion. Then, start sectioning by isolating the fringe section and clipping it away.

Create a horseshoe parting and secure the hair above the parietal ridge.

Establish a central-vertical parting from the horseshoe parting to the nape.

Using diagonal-forward partings, extending from the occipital bone to behind the ears, create and secure a section at the nape.

Secure the hair between the diagonal-forward partings and the horseshoe.

Release the hair below the diagonal-forward partings. Using horizontal subsections, distribute the hair “T” to the parting, elevate the hair to 45 degrees and use the razor to establish the guide.

Using horizontal subsections and a traveling guide, continue to razor-cut the hair until reaching the occipital bone.

Release the hair between the diagonal-forward partings and the horseshoe. Using horizontal subsections, distribute the hair to natural fall, hold the hair to 0 degrees and use the razor to establish a stationary guide.

Working upward and following the stationary guide, continue the cutting technique until reaching the horseshoe parting.

Establish a new guide along the parietal ridge. Then, above the parietal ridge, work with pivoting radial subsections and use varying distributions and elevations to create an increased-layered effect through the interior. Check for balance

Use the tip of the razor to remove excess weight throughout the cut.
