Colortrak Brand Ambassador and the 2017 #ONESHOT winner for Waves and Curls Shot of the Year Leysa Carillo (@leysahairandmakeup), a Las Vegas-based hairstylist and makeup artist, shares the formula for this bold berry color melt featuring Colortrak’s new Licensed to Create collection, inspired by CosmoProf.
STEPS
Before
Mix Formula A to a thick consistency. Then, using the Colortrak Licensed to Create Carbon Fiber Comb, back-to-back tease, weave and balayage the hair with Formula A.
Avoid the midlengths and ends, applying Formula A to the base and dark burgundy areas only. Process for 45 minutes. Then, shampoo the hair and skip the conditioner.
Using the Licensed to Create Balayage Board and Wide Color Brush, color melt using Formulas B, C and D. Process for 20 minutes.
Rinse with cold water. Then, blow-dry and style with a 1-inch curling iron, curling away from the face. Gently brush out the curls.
