#ONESHOT Hair Awards are a global hair awards program open to all licensed hairstylists, cosmetologists, barbers and currently-enrolled cosmetology students.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Free to enter.
- Original work only. All entries must be created by you, and you must own all rights to the work you submit.
- No digital alteration. Basic photo editing is permitted (exposure, contrast, blemish removal, and non-AI skin retouching to the face and body). Any edits that alter the hair’s style, shape, or color are not permitted. AI-generated images and AI-powered editing tools are strictly prohibited regardless of what area of the image they affect. Any entry with visible digital manipulation or detected AI usage will be disqualified.
Creation Dates
Work for both HOT SHOT and BIG SHOT categories must be created between April 2, 2025 and March 31, 2026.
Entry Rules
- Up to three entries per category.
- Each image may only be submitted to ONE color, ONE cut and ONE styling category.
- Example: An image may be entered in Blondes, Shag/Mullet, and Special Event Styling categories.
- An image may not be entered in both Blondes and Platinums categories.
- In Transformations and Extensions categories: ensure your entry includes front-facing before and after shots combined into one image. Entries with only back-facing photos will not be valid.
- In Collections and Salon Decor categories: entries must contain three images in a carousel.
- Salon Decor is limited to one collection per account. Each account is linked to one Instagram handle and one salon name. If you have multiple salons with separate Instagram handles, you may create a new account with a separate email for each salon, which will allow you to submit a Salon Decor collection for each location.
How To Enter
To enter, you must upload your entries to this site and post the same image(s) on Instagram.
1. Post on Instagram
- Post your entry between January 13, 2026 and March 31, 2026.
- Use the correct #ONESHOT2026 category hashtags in the caption.
- Each entry must be a single post (not a carousel), except Collections and Salon Decor, which must contain three images in a carousel.
- Overlays are recommended but not required. Overlays are available for download in your account.
2. Upload to this site
- Create or log in to your free account.
- Complete the entry form.
- Select the categories you’re entering.
- Upload the same image(s) you posted on Instagram. Do not upload images with overlays.
- Add the link to your Instagram post for each entry.
- Video categories require a cover image upload and a link to the Instagram video post.
You may edit or replace entries until March 31, 2026.
“Collaboration” Category
You must tag your collaborator in the submission. They must also have an account on this site.
