Christian Siriano’s F/W 2017 collection was inspired by grooved, layered sand formations with strong, expressive shapes. To complement his collection, he enlisted Sebastian Professional Lead International Stylist Anthony Cole to create a look that incorporated the natural elements of his designs. What Anthony ended up creating was a textured fishtail embellished with copper wiring—meant to evoke a “mixture of a victorian and renaissance woman walking through the desert.”

Blow-dry hair with Sebastian Professional Mousse Forte in a left side part, leaving the hair clean and smooth into a side ponytail.
Fasten the ponytail with a band, and spray Sebastian Professional Texture Maker into the ponytail.
Apply Sebastian Professional Craft Clay to palms, and warm up before making a fishtail braid using the clay.
Spray with Sebastian Professional Re-Shaper hairspray to make the braid look tethered.
Place copper wiring randomly throughout the braid to break it up.
