Pink color blocking continues to trend, but creating dimension doesn't always mean coloring every shade directly into the client's hair. In this tutorial, Australian hairstylist Belinda Lee Mills (@belinda_lee_mills) shares how she uses custom-colored Showpony Clip-In Extensions to build on an existing pastel pink base with lighter pink ribbons, brighter pops of color and a subtle pale blue peekaboo accent.

When placing color panels, Belinda recommends thinking like a colorist. Position lighter and brighter pieces where you would typically place foils to create brightness, movement and visual interest throughout the shape.

"Blue can be the hardest thing to put in the hair, keep in the hair and get out of the hair," Belinda explains. Instead of permanently coloring a blue section into the hair, she uses custom-colored extension pieces to create the effect, allowing her to experiment with placement while maintaining flexibility for future color services.
