Carefully select two appropriate Ultra High-Lift shades based on the client’s natural starting level. In this instance, Ultra High-Lift Natural and Ash were selected.
Mix two separate Ultra High-Lift Formulas
Formula A: 2 oz. Joico Vero K-PAK Color Ultra High-Lift Natural + 4 oz. 40-volume Veroxide
Formula B: 2 oz. Joico Vero K-PAK Color Ultra High-Lift Ash + 4 oz. 40-volume Veroxide
Begin pulling vertical slices of hair along the client’s hair parting (leaving 1½- to 1-inch between foils) for a total of nine slices from front to back.
Alternate applying Formulas A and B between slices of hair. Apply each formula by saturating hair from root to ends. Repeat foiling technique on opposite side.
Process color for 65 minutes, then rinse. Towel-dry and apply Joico K-PAK Cuticle Sealer for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, then apply Joico K-PAK Intense Hydrator for 5 minutes. Rinse, towel-dry and complete with Joico K-PAK Color Therapy Restorative Styling Oil.
