   1. Beginning at the fringe, take a 1/4-inch slice. Gently backcomb the section to create a soft transition in the color. Be sure to backcomb to the same point in each section.

   2. Apply the color using a side brushing technique. Using the craft standard foil application, work back to back through the fringe section.

   3. On the side section, repeat the same backcoming technique using diagonal subsections to follow the shape of the head.

   4. Place foils back to back throughout the entire section, using a side brushing technique. Repeat on the opposite side.

   5. Leave circle section at apex and back section without foils.
