Pop smoke braids, also known as tribal braids or jumbo feed-in braids, is a protective style known for its signature middle part. In this variation, Moroccanoil® Artistic Team Member Latavia Alise (@ellealiseartistry) creates an inverted three-strand braid along the middle part with four braids on either side. STEPS
Before
Start by establishing a central vertical section, then create an inverted three-strand braid within that section. Secure the ends with an elastic.
Next, create four more vertical sections on each side of the head, originating from the central vertical section and extending to the hairline. Secure each section with a Moroccanoil® Styling Clip.
Working from vertical section to vertical section, create an inverted three-strand braid in each and use Moroccanoil® Molding Cream while braiding to give yourself extra control. Then, secure each braid with an elastic.
Apply Moroccanoil® Glimmer Shine for a radiant, frizz-free finish.
Add beaded accents and charms if desired.
