Create four ponytails of equal size and secure just below the nape. Then, number the strands into four sections (1-4 from left to right!).
Follow the 4-strand technique. Start by crossing 4 over 3, then under 2. Cross 1 under 2 and 4 over 3.
Cross 1 under 2, then over 3. Cross 4 over 3 and 1 under 2. Repeat this pattern to the end of the braid and secure.
Expand the braid by pulling out the sides. Flip the braid up and over, then pin it to the head to hide the tail.Â
