Starting on damp hair, apply Kenra Professional Platinum Hydro Gel 13 and brush it forward—have the client flip their head upside down for added volume.
Blow-dry the hair and overdirect each section to create a voluminous styling foundation. Once the hair is dry, take a top section at the crown using the recession points as a guide.
Then, create a high ponytail and secure using a bungee elastic with hooks.
Using Platinum Hydro Gel 13, smooth out the top subsection and separate it into two sections. Lightly twist one over the other and wrap the remaining ends over the base of the ponytail.
Then, blow-dry the ends of the ponytail. Take 1-inch sections and use a flat iron to make waves in alternating directions throughout, then smooth them together with Platinum Hydro Gel 13.
