“For this year's Met Gala hair, it was important to Michael Kors that it stayed close to the aesthetic of his brand, with Misty’s hair back into an easy ponytail. The idea was for the texture of the hair [to] look like Misty had her hair in a bun and took it down. A flirty, bouncy ponytail,” Miles says.
“Misty prepped her hair by applying OLAPLEX No.3PLUS Complete Repair Treatment followed by OLAPLEX No.4Curl Bond Shaper™ Hydrating Curl Shampoo and OLAPLEX No.5Curl Bond Shaper™ Hydrating Curl Conditioner,” he says. “I then went in and started laying product to prepare for styling.”
“I applied OLAPLEX No.5 Leave-In Moisturize & Mend Leave-In Conditioner on wet hair. Once I can see that it has become a part of the hair, I blot or ring out the excess,” Miles explains. “This is important because too much leave-in that hasn’t been absorbed by the hair will change the formula of the products to follow.”
“I started layering the stylers with OLAPLEX No.6 Bond Smoother midlength to ends to help control frizz,” says Miles.
