3 Tips To Control The Lightening Process
Don’t let thick hair and full-head foils intimidate you. Justin never wants to leave the lightener on too long as he works around the head, so he swears by these tips:
- Ready? Remove ‘Em! – Take the bleach off the hair as soon as it has processed. Can’t rinse isolated sections? Justin saturates with Olaplex No.2 to stop the lightening process as he continues.
- Mix It Up – As you work around the head, use higher-volume developer to play catch up. Mix bowls of 20-volume, 30-volume and 40-volume developer as you work.
- Isolate Heat – When Justin needs only specific sections (like the ends) to play catch up, he applies isolated heat using a diffuser attachment.
Pro Tip: Accidentally overlap lightener on prelightened hair? Saturate those isolate sections or pieces with Olaplex No.2.
