What the U.S.-Sanctioned Tariffs Mean for the Beauty Industry & Imported Goods On April 2, 2025, President Trump declared a national emergency under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), citing ongoing trade imbalances and concerns over foreign trade practices.
