After performing the Hair & Scalp Analysis, prep the scalp by applying the Soothe & Protect Hair & Scalp Protective Cream around the hairline and onto the scalp area.

Part the hair into four sections, leaving out a 1/2-inch perimeter around the entire hairline of the head.

Beginning in the back, outline your first quadrant by applying the Silk Conditioning Relaxer 1/2 an inch from the scalp.

Working in 1/4-inch subsections, apply the relaxer thoroughly to both sides of the hair, staying 1/2 an inch from the scalp.

Repeat Steps 3 and 4 on all four quadrants. If the hair is porous, stay a 3/4 inch away from the ends with the relaxer.

After finishing the application on all four quadrants, apply the relaxer to the root area staying a 1/8 inch away from the scalp. This is also when you would apply the relaxer to the ends, if you left them out earlier.

Apply the relaxer to the perimeter of the hair last, but DO NOT comb through.

Process according to manufacturing guidelines and with consideration to the hair type, chemical history and desired client results.

When desired results are achieved, rinse the hair thoroughly with warm water for a minimum of 5 minutes. Follow with Neutralizing Shampoo, rinsing until all of the pink pigment is gone from the shampoo lather.

Finish by conditioning the hair with Optimum Moisture Conditioner or opt for the Deep Protein Masque for 5 minutes before rinsing.
