Before
- 2Step 2 of 25

To begin, section the hair. Create a horseshoe section at the top of the head from top of eyebrow to top of eyebrow and back to the crown of the head.
- 3Step 3 of 25

- 4Step 4 of 25

Section each side from the horseshoe vertically just behind the ear.
- 5Step 5 of 25

Finished back sectioning. Start your application in the nape.
- 6Step 6 of 25

Starting in the back section, take a horizontal subsection at the nape of the neck. Take a triangle section from just behind the ear, gently back comb at the root area, and apply Formula A just below where the hair is teased. Feather the formula from the roots in a V-shape and fully saturate the hair from mid to ends.
- 7Step 7 of 25

Repeat on other side.
- 8Step 8 of 25

Take a 1-inch horizontal section in the center about 3 inches wide and gently backcomb. Repeat the same V-shape application using Formula A.
- 9Step 9 of 25

Continue this process for two more horizontal sections in a bricklay pattern moving up the head to just below the horseshoe top section. Apply Formula A to these foils. TIP: You can adjust the number of foils according to the density of the client’s hair.
- 10Step 10 of 25

Next, move on to the side sections. Take a diagonal slice section along the hairline and apply formula 2 from scalp to ends. Take a section above that and repeat a few more times.
- 11Step 11 of 25

Next, take a horizontal slice from the top of the remaining hair on the side section, gently back comb and apply Formula A with the feathering technique we did in the back section.
- 12Step 12 of 25

Take the hair that was left out of the foils, gently backcomb, and apply Formula A from mids to ends. This will add extra brightness around the face.
- 13Step 13 of 25

Repeat on the other side.
- 14Step 14 of 25

Now it’s time for the top section. Divide the hair down the center and then separate a 2-inch section from the back at the crown. Take a ¼ -inch section from the base of this back section, weave and apply Formula B.
- 15Step 15 of 25

Repeat this process until you reach the top of the section. Fully saturate the mids and ends and feather the formula up towards the scalp. This will soften the natural base.
- 16Step 16 of 25

Take the hair left out of the foils, gently back comb and apply Formula A from mids to ends.
- 17Step 17 of 25

Separate the fringe area and clip out of the way. Next, take a diagonal section along the hairline, weave, and apply Formula B. Fully saturate the ends and feather the formula towards the scalp.
- 18Step 18 of 25

Take the hair left out of the foil closest to the hairline, gently backcomb, and apply Formula A from the mids to ends, making sure to feather the formula towards the scalp. Repeat on the other side.
- 19Step 19 of 25

Now move to the fringe area. Part down the middle. Working on one side, feather on Formula C starting at the scalp and making sure to fully saturate the ends. Repeat on the other side of the fringe.
- 20Step 20 of 25

Process for 30 to 40 minutes at room temperature. Shampoo with Blonde Life Brightening Shampoo and fully dry the hair. Now its time to add more dimension.
- 21Step 21 of 25

Do a 3-inch shadow root using Formula D. This softens the contrast to give a more modern, blended result.
- 22Step 22 of 25

Apply Formula E to the rest of the hair.
- 23Step 23 of 25

Process for 10 to 20 minutes. Shampoo with Joico Blonde Life Shampoo and Conditioner.
