- 1Step 1 of 7

Fill a sink with warm water and add 3 to 5 drops of Matrix Total Results Keep Me Vivid Shampoo. Mix until fully dissolved.
- 2Step 2 of 7

Submerge the wig in the sink. Massage the diluted shampoo into the hair and let sit for 10 minutes.
Stylist Tip: Do not rub the hair or it will tangle.
- 3Step 3 of 7

Rinse out all of the shampoo until the water is clear. Notice the haircolor stops bleeding after exposure to the shampoo.
- 4Step 4 of 7

Apply a generous amount of Matrix Total Results Keep Me Vivid Conditioner and massage it into the hair. Let sit for 30 minutes and rinse out in cold water.
- 5Step 5 of 7

Spray Matrix Total Results Color Obsessed Miracle Treat 12 on the hair as a leave-in conditioner and comb through.
- 6Step 6 of 7

Use a mousse to lay down the return hairs, then blow-dry (Click here to buy the Wig Dryer By Daroko!) and style as usual.
Note: Cynthia explains that the, "return hairs are the short hairs, about 2-3 inches long, that are on the other side of the knot. When a wig is handmade and the hair is tied on the lace, on one side of the knot is the length and on the other side are the return hairs."
