Rhode Island-based stylist Christopher Stanton (@honeybeedoeshair) is a wizard when it comes to vibrant colors and curly styles. Which is probably why this neon pink transformation is so MAJOR. Christopher even received a #ONESHOT nomination for Transformation of the Year for this shot. Here’s how he did it. Total chair time: 2 hours (4 to 6 hours if prelightening is needed) Pricing: $150 (more…)
- 1Step 1 of 4
Take a profile and radial parting to create four quadrants. Apply Formula A to the root area.
- 2Step 2 of 4
In each quadrant, take ½-inch diagonal-back sections and alternate Formula B and Formula C in back-to-back weaves, separating every other section with meche strips. “I also freehand painted some pieces in each section,” shares Chris, “color melting B into C. I wanted this color to be a ‘controlled chaos’ kind of look…the control would be the traditional foiling, and the chaos would be the random color melted pieces.”
- 3Step 3 of 4
