Create a section from ear to ear and apply Formula A to the roots in the front hairline. Continue until the roots are covered.

Move to the back and apply Formula B to the roots. Continue until the roots are covered.

Dampen the midlengths and ends and apply Formula C using deep zigzag partings as you work up the head, starting at the nape. Alternate applying Formula D to create subtle dimension.
“Deep zigzags will help create the illusion of beautiful, blended color,” Lesley explains. “I don’t want any colors to scream out, everything wants to sit and be mellow against each other.”

To achieve a seamless look, use your fingers to blend Formulas C and D with Formulas A and B.
Pro Tip: “Brush the color in where the roots meet the ends,” Lesley advises. “Using that little motion really helps to make sure you get a seamless blend of color.”

Continue applying until the head is covered. Process for 20 minutes and rinse.
