Divide the top area by taking a section from the lower recession area back into a slight point that finishes just above the occipital bone. Repeat on the opposite side. Divide the top area into four quarters using traditional cross-sectioning.

  2. 2Step 2 of 6

Begin with the first back-quarter by taking a 1/2 cm thick horizontal section parallel to the parting. Place a Flamboyage Meche underneath.

  3. 3Step 3 of 6

Comb the hair onto the Flamboyage Meche so that the section of hair adheres well. Start 1 cm from the root area and create an approximately 1-2cm thick diffuse line with one of the colour formulas, either C, D or E. Choose another colour from these 3 formulas and make another diffuse line next to the previous line. Apply the colour thoroughly with the brush. Repeat this method until the section is complete. Fold the Flamboyage Meche on itself. Take another horizontal section. Work with the same method but differ the colours randomly, remembering to create an even blend. Continue towards the crown. Start to introduce the more intense colour formulas F, G or H as the sections get closer to the crown. Alternate these with the soft formulas C, D or E. The length of the hair will determine the amount of colours that there will be on each Flamboyage Meche section. When the sections arrive to just under the crown, begin the other quarter back-section, repeating the method.

Now continue to the front quarter-sections. On one side, take a 1cm thick horizontal section, and repeat the same method as before, beginning with the lighter formulas C, D or E. Do another horizontal section before starting to make the following sections more diagonal, from the front working backwards towards the crown. As previously, start to introduce the more intense colour formulas F, G or H as the sections arrive closer to the crown. Stop before reaching the crown, then repeat the method on the other front quarter-section. For the remaining top area, take vertical sections working back over the crown, repeating the same method and with a combination of all the colour formulas.
