    Establish a horseshoe parting high up on the side of the head.

    Using adjustable clippers set all the way open, cut the sides and back making sure that you maintain a slight square at the roundness of the head. Use a clipper comb to protect the corner.

    Start in the back and point-cut a soft line that falls just above the occipital.

    Taking linear sections overdirect each section back, and work all the way to the front hairline. Point-cut to maintain softness and to remove bulk.
