Sectioning: Create a center parting from front hairline to top of crown. - 2Step 2 of 8
Starting at the hairline, take ½-inch sections from each side of parting and cut to desired length using zero elevation. - 3Step 3 of 8
Take a 1-inch section from front hairline to crown as shown. Overdirect hair forward and cut to guide length. - 4Step 4 of 8

Recreate a center parting and then a radial parting from ear-to-ear over the top of the crown. In the section behind the ears, use slight elevation and surface plane hair to connect layers and create softness. (If desired, remove length using shallow point cutting.) - 6Step 6 of 8
