Knotted Side Swept Chignon - Farouk
Every guest adores that classic, side-swept chignon, and when you add some trending twisted knots to it? Well, then there’s even more reason to love the look. This side-swept chignon created by Farouk Artist Rocky Vitelli is everything your party-going clients are after this winter season. Here’s how he did it. (more…)
  1. 1Step 1 of 8

Use the 1.5-inch Dura CHI Curling Iron to create a loosely curled foundation. The titanium-infused ceramic barrel heats the hair quickly while locking in moisture.

  2. 2Step 2 of 8

Part the hair from the top of the crown to just behind the ears and lightly backbrush the top of the back section.

  3. 3Step 3 of 8

Smooth the hair back and gather into a low pony just behind the ear, securing with an elastic band and bobby pins. Use CHI Infra Texture Spray to give the hair a workable hold.

  4. 4Step 4 of 8

Take the section of hair from the opposite side first. Twist loosely and secure at the base of the ponytail with a bobby pin. Do the same on the other side, making sure to smooth the bang area.

  5. 5Step 5 of 8

Divide the ponytail into two sections. Divide the first into two more sections and twist around each other.

  6. 6Step 6 of 8

Holding the ends, push the twisted hair up toward the base and secure in place with bobby pins. Repeat with the second section of hair.

  7. 7Step 7 of 8

Add some extra bobby pins where needed and finish with a light application of CHI Infra Texture Spray.

  8. 8Step 8 of 8
