Platinum is a hot shade for summer, but there’s a fine line between achieving platinum perfection and being stuck with yellow tones peeking through. Marlene Harper (@marlenedoeshair), a stylist at Kut Haus Salon in Claremont, Calif., managed to create the iciest of platinum hues and we got all the details!     Start by applying Formula A in the front. As you make your way down the head, switch to Formula B. Place a shower cap over her hair for even heat, and process until she reaches a Level 8.

    Next, apply Oligo Professional Balayage Clay Lightener Blacklight to the ends only. Continue processing until her hair reaches a pale yellow color.

    At the bowl, shampoo using Schwarzkopf BC Color Freeze Silver Shampoo and towel-dry.

    Tone using Formula C, then process for 20 minutes.
