- 1Step 1 of 18

Cut a square line into the back of the hair and continue to connect this line into the sides by tilting the head back and connecting through. Repeat on the opposite side. Check for balance.
- 2Step 2 of 18

Work from the side part. Divide from the center crown to mid-ears, and section from the occipital in a round section. Lift hair up to a 90-degree angle, and cut opposite the round section, creating a football shape.
- 3Step 3 of 18

Cutting side layers, work horizontally from the center of the head to the front hairline and cut short to long, overdirecting backward.
- 4Step 4 of 18

Now cut in the front outline, working with the hair in its natural fall. Work short to long on both sides, making sure not to slide the shear.
- 5Step 5 of 18

Have the client sit upright and lean forward, bending at the waist. Comb hair forward and ensure proper angle while maintaining the corner at the bottom. Work both sides, adjusting the angle based on the side part.
- 6Step 6 of 18

Lift all hair from center crown forward, directed to 180 degrees, and cut a concave layer, working from short to long. Start with a stable guide in the crown, working vertically.
- 7Step 7 of 18

Create concave layers, directing the hair straight out until you reach the round of the head and overdirect back to the hair line.
- 8Step 8 of 18

Adjust the angle to suit the parting. Cross-check at the parting using horizontal partings over the top of the head. Then refine the angle, cutting into the peak.
- 9Step 9 of 18

Color Formula: equal parts Subtil Meche 7-43 and 8-43 + 40-Volume Oxydant.
Section across the occipital bone and work with the hair below the section using diagonal partings. Start behind the ear and work toward the occipital section with pivotal sections, alternating colors in a finer weave.
- 10Step 10 of 18

- 11Step 11 of 18

Continue horizontally up to the crown. Section off at the parietal ridge, and work diagonally, starting at the hairline.
- 12Step 12 of 18

Work from the front, horizontally placing foils until you reach the round of the head and then continue from the sides to the center.
- 13Step 13 of 18

Moving to the top of the head, continue with horizontal placement of foils.
- 14Step 14 of 18

- 15Step 15 of 18

Visually place foils around the face and on the ends using the teasing technique and applying foil to the ends using Subtil Meches.
