- 1Step 1 of 8
Prelighten the hair with Formula A to a Level 8.
- 2Step 2 of 8

Create a diamond-shaped section extending from the front of the hairline to below the occipital bone in the back. Divide the diamond in half by placing a curved parting from the front left of the diamond to the back. Finally, place a parting across the diamond to divide the shape into four sections.
- 3Step 3 of 8
Apply Formula B to the underneath section at the base only, then melt it into Formula C. Cover with foil.
- 4Step 4 of 8
Release the back right section. Apply Formula B to the regrowth area and lightly feather the color away from the base.
- 5Step 5 of 8
Stand parallel to the sectioning so your body is directly facing the client. Take a ½-inch horizontal section and apply Formula D from Formula B through the ends. Cover with foil.
- 6Step 6 of 8

Repeat steps 4 and 5 using the chart below. The center diamond will use Formula C.
