Prep hair with Sebastian Volupt Spray. Create a deep side part, isolate the front section and clip it away. Backcomb the undersides of every section of the remaining hair to create volume.

Direct one side of the hair toward the back and pin it just off-center with a bobby pin, placing the pin vertically to hold the section in place. - 3Step 3 of 7
Using both hands, direct the hair from the other side toward the back to meet the pin. Smoothing the section continuously, begin rolling it toward the center. Start at the top and work down toward the nape. - 4Step 4 of 7
While holding the roll in place with one hand, insert bobby pins along the length of the twist. “Start at the bottom,” advises Mustafa, “to catch the shorter pieces that tend to slip out.” - 5Step 5 of 7
Continue pinning until the twist is secure. Release the front and backcomb this section. - 6Step 6 of 7
Gently loop the section into the waved shape. Secure it to the back section. Finish with Sebastian Shaper Fierce. - 7Step 7 of 7
