This is incredible and SO satisfying. Lucy Dilkes (@hairbylucifeen) a stylist in Bairnsdale, Australia, was super excited to finally change her client’s hair from those dated stripes to a clean brown with a violet-red base. Here are the details!   “My client has had these stripes for more than five years,” Lucy shares. “This style was once popular in the ’90s, but it’s definitely dated now.     Foil in a diagonal front across a side part to break up the existing stripes that are through the center part. Foil with mostly Formula A and occasionally Formula B. Foil horizontally on the sides.

    Toning - Erasing Stripes Before

    Apply Formula B to the high nape. Process for 40 minutes, checking the hair’s strength through the foils while it processes.

    Shampoo and begin to tone. Lucy didn’t want to lose the clean blonde, so she toned with two different formulas. First, she re-foiled the hair wet and applied Formula C over the old back-to-back foil pattern to keep the existing lighter strands clean, then she toned the rest of the hair with Formula D. Process for 20 minutes.
