This hair is painted for the gods! We are obsessed with this gorgeous dimensional balayage from Jennifer Diaz @jenni4president from the new Poughkeepsie, N.Y. salon The Great Studio. Her client wanted to achieve a Level 8 or 9 with a balayage melt. Jenni made sure to let the client know that it might take a while (up to four sessions), but they would get there! Separate hair into four quadrants according to the client’s natural part.

Beginning in the back two sections, paint the hair using Formula A, then continue to the front two sections. Process until the hair is the desired tone.

Tone the ends of the hair with Formula B and the midlengths with Formula C. Jennifer’s client wanted her roots untouched.

To style, apply Moroccanoil Hydrating Styling Cream to damp hair. Blow-dry the hair, then use a 1-inch curling iron and a strong hairspray. Finish by brushing through the curls.
