Using Formula A, balayage away from the roots in V-shaped sections, following the shape of the head. Use thicker Vs and Ws around the face. Process for the maximum amount of time according to lightener instructions.

Rinse, shampoo and towel-dry the hair.

Mix Formulas B, C and D.

Smudge the roots using Formula B, feathering the color down to the midlengths.

Apply Formula C to midlengths, and melt in Formula D through the ends.
