Section the hair into quadrants. Starting in the nape and leaving out the roots, take super-fine sections and apply Formula A.
- 3Step 3 of 12

Continue working up the head and applying Formula A as quickly as possible. Stay half an inch away from the scalp to avoid overprocessing and causing hot roots.
- 4Step 4 of 12

After the initial application is complete, wrap the hair in foils to help separate the lightener and incubate the hair.
- 5Step 5 of 12

Process for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the ends lift to a Level 8. Then, start applying Formula A to the root area.
- 6Step 6 of 12

After the roots are done, allow the entire head to process for 30 minutes.
- 7Step 7 of 12

Rinse, blow-dry and section the hair into quadrants for the second lifting session.
- 8Step 8 of 12

To get through the golden tones and lift to a pale blonde, start in the front of the head—where you left off at the end of the first session—and repeat the lifting process using Formula A. Process and rinse.
- 9Step 9 of 12

Starting on damp hair, outline quadrants by applying Formula B to the base and dragging the color down 2 to 3 inches. Jeffrey recommends adding Goldwell @Pure Pigments to both melting formulas to neutralize warmth and enhance ashy tones for silver results. BONUS: Every @Pure Pigments dye reflects its own color to create holographic effects that shine with intense dimension.
- 10Step 10 of 12

Then, apply Formula C to the ends. Start applying at the ends, working up the strands and blend using a color melting technique. Process for 20 minutes, then rinse.
