- 1Step 1 of 16

To start the cut, create a blunt line at the nape.
- 2Step 2 of 16

Connect the back and sides, leaving the front slightly longer to tuck under the jawline.
- 3Step 3 of 16

Create a blunt fringe that covers the eye.
- 4Step 4 of 16

- 5Step 5 of 16

On the top, take vertical sections and use thinning shears to cut the layers, creating a soft interior.
- 6Step 6 of 16

To begin the color service, section hair as shown using a circle on top and an oblong on either side.
- 7Step 7 of 16

Apply Formula A in the back section first, alternating between triangle and V-shaped brushstrokes away from the root to create shade. Isolate with color pads or foil.
- 8Step 8 of 16

Continue to the side sections and then to the top circle until the entire head is complete.
- 9Step 9 of 16

- 10Step 10 of 16

Develop until an underlying orange/yellow pigment is revealed. Shampoo, neutralize and dry the hair completely, then section hair as shown.
- 11Step 11 of 16

Take fine, ½-centimeter spacing and apply Formula B in the front sections with a V-shape brush stroke.
- 12Step 12 of 16

Apply Formula C in between the foils and to all remaining hair, paying attention to keep the formula away from the root area you created in steps 2 and 3.
- 13Step 13 of 16

Process, shampoo, neutralize and get ready to style.
- 14Step 14 of 16

To style, first apply Wella Professionals EIMI Shape Me 48-Hour Shape Memory Hair Gel to towel-dried hair. Use a couple of medium round brushes and blow-dry to create a strong bend in the hair, leaving one hair brush in the hair to cool as you work through each section.
- 15Step 15 of 16

Apply EIMI Perfect Me Hair BB Lotion, then use the Wella Style to create a soft bend in the hair for added texture and movement while adding delicate shine and protecting the hair.
