Fiery Red Color Melt

To achieve the desire prelightened level, apply Formula A from the base to the midlengths. Then, apply Formula B throughout the ends to remove old color. Process until she reaches a pale yellow. Then, create a horseshoe-shaped section at the crown and clip away, leaving out the fringe area.

Once hair is lifted and the horseshoe section clipped away, take a ½-inch section of hair at the nape and apply Formula C using the Colortrak Extra Wide Glitter Brush, working down about 2 inches from the scalp.

Next, apply Formula D with the Colortrak Wide Glitter Brush, overlapping with Formula C. Use your thumb and index finger to blend the two formulas, creating a seamless melt. 

Then, apply Formula E on the ends of one section and Formula F on the ends of the next. Continue alternating for added dimension. Once all hair is painted, start working in the horseshoe-shaped section. Using horizontal sections, continue the same technique used in steps 2 and 3, starting with Formula C melting into Formula D and then melting into Formula E or Formula F.

Next, move on to the fringe area and use Colortrak Balayage Haircoloring film to color the fringe line. Apply Formula C on the base and then color melt Formulas D, E and F. Alternate applying Formulas E and F through the ends. Process for 25 to 35 minutes.

Rinse with cold water, keeping the ends out.

Cleanse with a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, then blow-dry and style as desired.
