Start with a custom, crescent-shaped section from the center hairline to directly behind the ear on the left side. Then, on the other side, create a second crescent-shaped section from the top of the right ear to the center nape. Clip the rest of the hair away.
Begin the color application by applying Formula A at the roots and ends in the first crescent-shaped section using ¼-inch, diagonal-back slices. Follow the hairline, starting behind the ear and working up.

At the midlengths, apply Formula B and blend into Formula A at both the bottom and top of the sliced section, leaving a small area in the very middle of the hair shaft free from color. Then, apply Formula C in the center of the strand (the color-free area) and blend into the pink.
Pro Tip: Using clear on the roots and ends acts as a transitional buffer between the client's natural haircolor and the fashion shades.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 until each section is complete. Then, repeat the process on the other side of the head. Let color process and rinse.
