- 1Step 1 of 14

Section away a wide triangle on the top from the front hairline to the crown and clip away. Take two narrow triangles on either side of the face at hairline from the temples to the ears. These will be your first sections.
- 2Step 2 of 14

Start in front of the ear, work in back to back diagonal slices and alternate Formulas A and B from roots to ends. Repeat on the opposite side.
- 3Step 3 of 14

Continue the same technique on the top triangle section.
- 4Step 4 of 14

- 5Step 5 of 14

Process, then rinse, shampoo and neutralize. Tone with Formula C.
- 6Step 6 of 14

For the cut, start at the back. Take horizontal sections and cut the hair to the desired length.
- 7Step 7 of 14

Continue into the side section. Repeat on the opposite side until complete.
- 8Step 8 of 14

Working in a forward graduation technique, take vertical sections, pull the hair forward and cut. Continue on the opposite side.
- 9Step 9 of 14

- 10Step 10 of 14

For the square layers, take a section from the center of the crown, pull the hair up to 90 degrees and cut a guideline. Pivot around the head until the layering is complete.
- 11Step 11 of 14

To style, prep with EIMI Ocean Spritz and the roots and EIMI Perfect Me through the mids and ends.
- 12Step 12 of 14

Blow-dry with a diffuser, using your fingers to build up the shape.
- 13Step 13 of 14

Once the hair is dry, use a curling iron to add movement. Finish with EIMI Dry Me and dress out the movement with your fingers.
- 14Step 14 of 14

Finished look.
