Create a clean, deep side part, aligning the part with the highest point of the brow arch. Using the 19mm curler from the amika 5P Interchangeable Barrel Curler set, begin at the back of the head and curl one-inch sections of hair towards the face.

As you create the curls, collapse each curl onto itself, and pin at the base with a pin curl clip. This will create full and structured curls after they have set.

Once all of the curls are set, remove the pin curl clips. Spray the entire head of curls with the amika Touchable Hairspray.

Begin brushing out the curls with a paddle or grooming brush.

Once curls are completely brushed out, backcomb the hair from the ends to roots in large sections consistent in density.

Next, create a faux bob effect by separately pinning each backcombed section to the nape of the hair. Secure with long bobby pins at the base.

To complete the look, gently tame fly-aways by using the tail of a comb that has been sprayed with amika Touchable Hairspray.
