Apply a coin-sized amount of Aveda Smooth Infusion™ Naturally Straight and blow-dry the hair. - 2Step 2 of 6
Add a layer of Aveda Pure Abundance™ Style Prep™ and continue to blow-dry the hair. This will give hair added texture. - 3Step 3 of 6
After hair is dry, create soft movement by first applying Aveda Air Control™ Hair Spray and then use a flat iron to add waves to the hair. - 4Step 4 of 6
Create a messy center part. Taking a right front section of hair, pull behind ear, but still keeping the section separated, from the back of the hair. Do the same with the left, side front section. Pulling from the back of the hair, take a 1- to 2-inch section of hair, depending on the thickness of the hair, and braid this section about 2 inches long, and secure with an elastic band. - 5Step 5 of 6
Collect the remaining hair and pull it back, then secure it with an elastic band below the hairline. Tie the front section in a knot over the braid. Pin the knot secure, then manipulate it to give it a more natural look. - 6Step 6 of 6
