Toning can be like throwing a chiffon scarf over a glaring lightbulb. It softens the light and creates an even, pleasant glow. In this case, the model’s hair was a too-solid, monochromatic blonde.     Create a zigzag parting from ear to ear, across the top of the head.

    Model was previously highlighted using Formula A and 1/8-inch slices. Process until she reaches Level 9. Rinse, clean and dry. Beginning in front fringe region, using a balayage technique, apply Formula B to selected face-framing pieces.

    Next, in the back section, apply Formula B only to the scalp area, angling the brush to create a sweeping motion. This will create natural looking depth at scalp area. Apply Formula C to the midlengths and ends. Process up to 20 minutes. Rinse, clean and condition with Total Results™ Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner.
