What better way to say hello to summer than with a mint chocolate chip-inspired color? This dreamy pastel creation comes to us from Erin BonneyHassell (@erin.boha_hair) of Boha Studio in Washington, North Carolina. Her model (read: best friend) frequently lets her experiment with her hair, so it’s safe to say Erin had a lot of fun with this one!   “The before picture is the result of a vivid color we did about a month ago that faded beautifully.     Begin by painting Formula A in the back, starting in the midshaft and working up to the crown. Rinse, then repeat on the left and then the right side. Rinse.

    Apply Formula B to create the dark blue-black smoky base, and apply Formula C to the ends, blending up into the midlengths. Apply Formula D from the roots to the midlengths, blending it into Formula C. Process for 30 minutes. Rinse at the shampoo bowl, towel-dry, then apply Olaplex No.2 for 20 minutes. Rinse.

    Shampoo and condition using Pureology Pure Volume Shampoo and Conditioner. To style, cocktail IGK Call Time Styling Primer and L’ANZA Healing Strength Neem Plant Silk Serum and apply to damp hair, then blow-dry. Create messy beach waves using a ghd Classic Flat Iron, grabbing 2-inch sections and spraying with Wella Professionals Thermal Image Heat Protection Spray before curling. After curling spray with IGK Down & Out Dirty Spray, separating the waves with your fingers.
