    Create a triangle section on each side a couple of inches from the part down to the hairline to create the triangle section.

    Create a three-strand braid. Once you get to the back of the head, pancake by pulling and stretching the braid, then clip it into place.

    Create a three-strand braid on the other side, pancaking it out and clipping it in place.

    Remove the clips and connect the two braids in the middle, securing them with an elastic.

    Moving forward, split the hair into three sections, leaving some of the middle hair out. This is where you're going to connect your knotted hairstyle to your braids.

    Take the sides and drape them across the other side.

    Lift the ponytail up and drape the side sections across again. Once you are on the top you can create your knot.

    Take the sides underneath and create another knot. Pin the top section up with a bobby pin to get it out of the way. Take the ends underneath once more and create another knot.

    Continue creating knots until you reach the ends and secure with an elastic band.

    Release the top section. Then go back and curl some of the hair in the ponytail.
