Before
- 2Step 2 of 15

Start by applying Formula A from the midlengths to ends, leaving out 1 inch of natural hair at the root.
- 3Step 3 of 15

Then, apply Formula B to the root area. Process for 50 minutes, or until you’ve achieved the desired result and rinse.
- 4Step 4 of 15

Apply Wella Professionals Wellaplex N°2 at the shampoo bowl. Process for 10 minutes, then rinse. Shampoo and condition with Wella FUSION Intense Repair Shampoo and Wella BLONDOR Seal & Care Conditioner. Then, blow-dry.
- 5Step 5 of 15

Create seven sections by taking irregular, weaved partings throughout the hair at a diagonal.
- 6Step 6 of 15

Release the first diagonal-nape section. Apply Formula C to the roots—this will be the shadow root throughout—and at the mids, leaving a few inches to color melt between sections. In between the root shadow and mids, melt Formula D and Formula E. Alternate blending with a brush and fingers for a watercolor effect, then repeat on the ends.
- 7Step 7 of 15

Take a panel in between each color melt, and apply Formula C from roots to ends. This will help mute the intensity of the melt, plus it will create rich dimension. Continue repeating this pattern until you’ve reached the crown.
- 8Step 8 of 15

Repeat on the other side, leaving the top section out.
- 9Step 9 of 15

Release the crown, and apply Formula C from roots to ends.
- 10Step 10 of 15

Process for 20 minutes, then rinse with water for long-lasting results. Apply Wella EIMI Thermal Image and blow-dry the hair.
- 11Step 11 of 15

Create a center part and divide the hair into two sections, twisting each section and securing into two topknots.
- 12Step 12 of 15

Then, release each bun to create lived-in, wavy texture.
- 13Step 13 of 15

Finish by pinching and pulling the hair until you’ve achieved your desired texture.
