In the center nape area perform a horizontal scissors-over-comb technique to establish the length. Move the comb horizontally as you work up the head.

Connect the sides with the back by positioning the comb parallel to the curved parting.

Create a clean contour line around the ear with the tip of the scissors. Avoid the sideburn.

Distribute the top of the interior in a perpendicular fashion and allow it to disconnect from the sides.

Create a short, uniform length in the crown area with a razor-overcomb technique. Distribute the hair towards the crown and slice the ends for a short, soft texture.

Point-cut the fringe in horizontal sections.
