Blended Balayage

Sectioning: Create a horseshoe-shaped section in the top/crown region and clip for control. This is Section 3. Then take a parting from the top of the head to behind the ear on both sides, secure these as sections 1 and 2. All remaining hair will be section 4.

Application: Beginning in section 1, take a 1/8-inch diagonal slice at the front hairline, and place on foil. Apply Formula A from midlengths to ends with a side-brushing technique and diffusing the color toward the scalp. Leave about 1 to 2 inches at the scalp to create depth. 


Leave a 1⁄4 inch between foils and take another diagonal slice. Then, apply Formula B from midlengths to ends with a side-brushing technique and diffusing the color toward the scalp. Leave about 1-2 inches at the scalp for depth. 
Continue alternating Formulas A and B in this manner until the section is complete.

Repeat the same process in section 2. 

Moving to section 3, divide the hair in half. Then, starting on the right, create 1/8-inch, diagonally-sliced sections at the hairline. Place on the foil, apply Formula A from midlengths to ends using a side-brushing technique and diffuse the color toward the scalp area. Alternate applying Formulas A and B repeating the application method and working toward the crown. Then repeat on the left side of section 3.

In section 4, weave a 1⁄4-inch subsection at nape. Then, place on foil and apply Formula A from scalp to ends. Work in a brick-lay pattern toward the crown until entire section is complete. Let process, then rinse and apply Bond Ultim8 Step 2 for up to 10 minutes. Finally, cleanse and condition with Total Results Hello Blondie.
