- 1Step 1 of 10

Start with a horizontal parting using the front of each ear as a guide. Then, create two back subsections (1 and 2) with a center parting. Finish with three subsections along the front hairline (3, 4 and 5) connecting to the horizontal parting.
- 2Step 2 of 10

Following the hairline, take a diagonal-back weave. Tease the section and apply Formula B, securing in a foil. Repeat to create a v-shape with three back-to-back teased weaves on either side of the center parting.
- 3Step 3 of 10

Create one horizontal weave in the center of the v-shape. Tease and apply Formula B, securing in a foil.
- 4Step 4 of 10

Continue applying Formula B to alternating diagonal-back and horizontal weaves, ending at the crown.
Pro Tip: To create maximum diffusion, overdirect each section to the opposite side of the head when applying lightener.
- 5Step 5 of 10

At the crown, work horizontally applying Formula B to alternating teased slices and teased weaves. Finish the section with a teased weave at the initial parting.
- 6Step 6 of 10

Starting at the hairline at the temple, apply Formula A to three slices leaving out 1/4-inch between each foil. Follow the angle throughout the rest of the section using teased slices and a balayage application. Repeat the same process on the opposite side.
- 7Step 7 of 10

Working with Formula A, start the front center section with three, back-to-back sliced foils on either side of the forehead, creating a small v. Inside the v-shape, create three horizontal weaves and place each in a foil.
- 8Step 8 of 10

For the remainder of the section, adjust your body position so you are standing on the side of the head. Take horizontal partings alternating between sliced and weaved-foils, applying Formula B. Tease and balayage any remaining hair with Formula B and process until the hair is lifted to a Level 8.
- 9Step 9 of 10

Shampoo and towel dry the hair. Then, apply a shadow root using Formula C. Apply Formula D to the mids and gently melt upwards to blend the two shades together. Finish with Formula E on the ends. Process and style as desired.
