Prepare the hair by shampooing once and then dry off. Mist hair with a thermal protection spray to protect against heat. - 2Step 2 of 14
Mix together a strong hold styling lotion and a styling creme. Using a brush, apply to the roots like a tint root application. - 3Step 3 of 14
Dry all the roots upwards with a comb to create structure and volume at the roots only. - 4Step 4 of 14
Using your hands, apply the same mixture to the mid-lengths and ends. - 5Step 5 of 14
Start approximately two inches from the root and continue through the whole head. - 6Step 6 of 14
Use and comb and dry the mixture through the lengths and ends. - 7Step 7 of 14
Dry the top section, combing through with your fingers. - 8Step 8 of 14
Working from underneath, start to brush the hair from the ends to the roots, working in two inch sections. Continue throughout the whole head. - 9Step 9 of 14
Use a styling iron to create different curls and textures. - 10Step 10 of 14
Create a combination of barrel curls, coils and "figure 8" movements by weaving the hair through the irons. - 11Step 11 of 14
Continue alternating these techniques, working in 1½-inch horizontal sections, splitting each section into ½-inch sub-sections. Spray with thermal protection spray. - 12Step 12 of 14
Brush out some sections with a soft brush, lightly backcomb with your fingers and dress to the desired finish. - 13Step 13 of 14
