Rich, shiny and luxurious: This warm latte brunette, created by Moroccanoil® Academy Director Cassie Siskovic (@cassieskovic), is the perfect blend of elevated low-maintenance. Using her seamless gradient technique, Cassie builds diffused brightness, a seamless midtone and rich depth.
Cassie created this look during her "Luxe Brunettes" class at Moroccanoil's 2025 event, The Collective. Recreate this luxe finish with the step-by-step breakdown below.
How do you create intentional brightness for warm, luxe brunettes?
“One of my favorite lifting techniques for a luxe brunette end result is my seamless gradient technique,” Cassie shares. “It’s where I balayage/freehand surface paint in large sections and add a supportive foil on top.”
This technique is perfect for creating diffused lightness, a built-in midtone and dimensional depth: “I’ve used it for minimalist lifting, as well as corrective color. It’s all about where you place the seamless gradient sections to create an effect or correct a canvas,” Cassie adds.
How do you maintain depth when highlighting for a warm latte brunette?
“Big sections and surface saturation painting only!” Cassie shares. Cassie loves to use Moroccanoil® Blonde Voyage Clay Lightener with a 1:1.5 mixing ratio to ensure a thick product consistency for controlled application.
