Vanilla Blonde & Soft Money Piece

June 1, 2025·1 min read

A woman with voluminous, wavy platinum blonde hair and bright, cool-toned highlights, styled with a deep side part and smooth, glossy texture in the same indoor location.

At the 2025 BTC Show in Dallas, Danger Jones Global Ambassador Tia Lambourn (@tialambourn_hair) drew a packed crowd to her Danger Jones classroom, showcasing her signature, high-impact blonding.

For this vanilla blonde and soft money piece, Tia used a dimensional Mohawk foil technique, tipped out the ends and added sliced face-framing highlights for brightness and movement. The result? A creamy vanilla blonde with a soft, luminous money piece that perfectly blends luxury and lived-in shine.

Tia's blonding class was FULL: Not an open seat in sight!

Steps

1. Before:

A woman with long, straight blonde hair featuring soft, natural highlights and a subtle root shadow, looking to the side in a softly lit indoor setting.

2. Lighten the hair using Formula A, using 10-volume developer, bumping it up to 20-volume as you finish the foiling process. To highlight, Tia used a dimensional Mohawk foil technique, tipping out the ends and adding sliced face-framing highlights for bright pops around the face

3. Wash and begin toning: Apply Formula B as a root melt, Formula C to the mids and Formula D as a global gloss.

4. Wash and style as desired. For this soft beachy wave, Tia trusted Danger Jones Educator Kristyn Hamilton (@khamilton.hair) to bring her model’s fresh color to life.
